Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need Insurance?
A. Only if the nurse/carer is living in your home or you require them to drive your car or use machinery.

Q. Will I always have the same carer?
A. . We will do our best to ensure that you have continuity of care; however we recommend that you have 3 carers to allow for days off.

Q. Are your staff police Checked?
A. All our staff have had a CRB Enhanced Disclosure, applied for by us. They may not start work without this.

Q. Do I need to feed the carer?
A. No unless they are working a full day. Some of our Service Users like the carer to eat with them as having a companion to share a meal with makes eating a more pleasurable experience.

Q. For full time live in care, would I need to pay their council tax?
A. No

Q. Are your carers trained?
A. All staff are given mandatory training prior to commencing work. Our staff training is ongoing both in-service training and outsourced [NVQ in Health & Social Care]. Staff attending to Service Users who have complex needs will be trained in situ.
